Bio 

Maura McHugh has been making art for over 20 years. Her work has been exhibited in several venues across the United States including the Santa Fe Contemporary Art Center, University of Missouri - Columbia George Caleb Bingham Gallery, The Oceanside Museum of Art, and the Puffin Cultural Forum in New Jersey.  She received the PepsiCo Enable Art Show - Best of Show Award ($500) in 2012.  McHugh's artwork has been published in several issues of Hysteria Magazine.  She garnered her Master of Fine Arts at Vermont College in 2011. She has participated in many feminist activist art projects including Nancy Azara’s REPRERESENT SoHo20 Feminist Project and Micol Hebron’s The (en) Gendered (in) Equity-Gallery Poster Project.  McHugh was raised on the West Coast in Washington and California and has been making art in New York since March 2011.
